Féile Róise Rua is run by a voluntary committee of Árainn Mhór people. The festival is run according to a social enterprise model where all profits are put directly into the community or back into the festival. The organisers of the festival do not make profit in terms of money, but just enjoyment, music and craic!

The festival could not take place without the support of our funders and people who buy tickets. These graphs show where our money is spent. We also raised money through fundraising to support the local community centre during covid. Thank you all for your support and participation in this endeavour.

Since the foundation of this festival we have had just 3 in person and 2 online only festivals.

We estimate that the festival is worth at about €50,000 a year to the island economy- food, accommodation, ferries, shops, taxis, sound, venues.

The festival has put over €30,000 directly into the island economy via food, accommodation, transport, venues and fundraising

This community based festival is run by a voluntary committee- we take no fees for organisation and administration of this festival. All profits go back into the running of arts events/activities or into the community.

Moneys raised from donations in the live-stream and raffles, etc. contributed to the refurbishment of the community centre building allowing for the post office to be based there.

The festival also carries out projects with young people in the community, music workshops, filming workshops, art workshops, dance workshops.

Thanks to all friends of this festival for their continued support.
