Anna Bn Uí Ghallachóir
Anna is from the townland of Aphort on Arranmore Island. She was born into a musical family, both her parents being singers. From an early age Anna was interested in the songs of Peadar Mac Suibhne. Her National School teacher Packie Bonner also passed on the love of singing and in particular that of Róise Rua’s music. In 1990 Anna recorded a cassette of songs which was later brought out on CD. She has taken part in programmes on TG4 and RnaG and also been involved in the Oireactas.
